Nathan saw the surgeon today for his 4 week post op follow up, and the surgeon was very happy with what he saw! So, since Nathan was cleared, we decided to take him to his first trip to the playground! Oh yes, what a ride it has been!

On May 22, Erick ran his first half marathon, 13.1 miles! He ran it in 2 hrs and 20 mins. Just completing this race was a huge achievement! Congrats!

0730 Took car to Daves Auto to get oil changed in car

0830 Took Toby to the groomers

0930 Drove to Plymyth Meeting to have wife's car assessed after being rear-ended 2weeks ago

1100 Came home and took Nathan to Jenkintown to meet his former Wawa workers

1300 Came home and fixed grill and washed bottles

1330 Ate lunch

1415 Looked up recipe to make for dinner

1530 Picked up Toby from groomers

1615 Came home and saw that Toby's eyelid had been cut while at the groomers and needed to go to the vet

1700 Took Toby to vet and was told that Toby will have to be put under and will need stitches

1800 Decided to nix the recipe and go to the food store with wife and child to buy sushi for dinner

1830 Drove back to Daves auto to pick up car

1900 Came home and ate dinner outside on deck :)

1930 Recieved the phone call from the vet saying that Toby was ready to be picked up

1945 Drove to vet and recieved massive amounts of instructions on eye care for Toby. To name a few, Eye drops every 4-6 hours for 10 days, by mouth antibiotic every 12 hours for 10 days, and toby must wear cone around head for 2 weeks

2030 Came home with Toby, then had a beer

2130 Changed a massive poopy diaper

2200 Hung out with wife and Nathan and started watching a movie

2300 Put Nathan to bed!

2330 Went to bed!

Nathan is 2 months old now, 10 lbs, 11 oz, 22 1/4 in long. (He has finally reached the size Jaclyn was at birth! My poor mom) His new favorite things to do are blow bubbles, march/kick his feet really fast, stick his tongue out like a lizzard and he even likes to hold his bottle.

Nathan is now a month old! Geez! He is much more alert and interested in whats going on around him. He loves his big boy bath in the tub, giving big smiles, and going for rides in the stroller. He still loves to cuddle, listen to music, and loves to be talked to. Nathan had his first photo shoot here at our house when he was 4 weeks old and did great! He held his head up on his own and didnt puke on his outfit until after the pictures were done! :) Nathan went for his first long car ride, to Harrisburg, and slept the whole time! Thank god! Nathan and Tobys relationship is still getting better and better, however when Nathan is put into his swing or pack n play, Toby just barks and barks.. anyone have any suggestions how to help this? PLEASE!

Our little man is already 3 weeks old. We still think he looks like Erick which is ok with me! :) He loves his swing, going for car rides, cuddling and eating! He hates baths, getting changed and having a wet diaper. He smiles when hes happy and screams when hes mad! Nathan and Toby are starting to get the hang of being around each other so we hope the progress will continue!

Nathan Matthew was born January 14, 2011 at 2012. He was 8 lbs 1 oz and 20 in long. He is as cute as can be and Erick and I could not be more happy! Thank you to everyone for the hospital visits, texts, cards, gifts, visits at home, phone calls, and all the words of advice. We are so grateful and thrilled to share our new bundle of joy with all of you!

Since Tuesday was such a beautiful day, we decided to be outside as much as possible! Starting with Rices!(not sure of the spelling)There were a lot more vendors as compared to Jan.! Then we went to Lake Galena! The Lake was still frozen but there were tons of people riding bikes, walking, running. There were huge puddles everywhere, so Toby was soaked by the time be were done. Erick had to be a hero and help push a car out of the mud. Who parks on the grass when the snow is melting? 10 more days till spring!

We liked, so maybe you will like...

Chicken and Dumblings

1 can low sodium cream of mushroom soup
1 can low sodium cream of chicken soup
1 cup chicken broth
1 rotisserie chicken, skin discarded and meat remved from bone
2-3 rolls of pillsbury croissane rolls, divided

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Roll out the cans of croissant sheets and separate into diamond shaped sections. Place a small handful of rotisserie chicken on each diamond, fold dough over and press ends together to create dumplings. Cut up any excess dough into strips.

Line a 9x13" baking dish with one layer of dumplings. Pour the can of cream of chicken soup over the layer of dumplings, followed by the can of cream of mushroom soup, and chicken broth

Place strips in a crisscross pattern on the top of the dumplings and soup mixture, season dish with salt and ground black pepper and bake until the dumplings are tender and cooked through and the top is bubbly and brown, about 30 minutes.

This past weekend was my mother-in-laws wedding up in Selinsgrove. Lets just say it was a hike! But it reminded me of the drive up to the mountains! Erick got to dress up in a tux and give his mother away. I wasnt able to take that many pictures, but the ones at the end are of Erick doing the YMCA and all the boys dressed in different hats. Today Toby recieved his last shot of his series of three! Since he is so tiny, he had to recieve the three shots a couple weeks apart. Most dogs can recieve them in 1-2 visits! BUT we are very excited b/c our little guy went from 2.5 lbs when we first got him, to now weighing in today with a whopping 4 lbs!! He is also allowed to "socialize" with other dogs and get his fur cut (which he desperatly needs)! Hope you feel better soon Toby!!

IM 25 YEARS OLD!!

Well I just turned 25 not that long ago... im married.. and am now in my "mid-twenties"... what has my life come too?!?! haha j/k But i spent the day with two of my favorite people.. First the hubby and I tried to go to the phils game.. but it was sold out! So we hung out at McFaddens... and it was def a good time... (any single ladies out there McFaddens is the place to go!) Then we went up to West Chester to go out to eat with Kelly, at a place called Kooma (a sushi bar) which i have been wanting to go to for years! And it was def worth the wait! AMAZING! We had a drink called saki bombs at the end which were very interesting! In all, 25 is not that bad :)

And we're back in the game!

For Christmas, I was given one of those rip away daily calanders. This was what was written for Jan. 27, 2009. It was titled "Heaven."

An Elderly couple died in a car crash. They had been in good health the last ten years, ever since the wife started serving healthy food and insisting they exercise. When they reached the pearly gates, St. Peter took them to their mansion. As they oohed and aahed, the old man asked Peter how much it was going to cost. "It's free," replied Peter. "This is heaven."

Next they went out to survey the beautiful golf course in the backyard. The old man asked, "What are the green fees?"

Peter's reply, "This is heaven-you play for free."

Next they went to the clubhouse and saw the lavish buffet spread out before them.

"How much to eat?" asked the old man.

"Don't you understand yet? This is heaven, It's free!" Peter replied.

"Well, where are the low-fat and low-cholesterol tables?" the old man asked timidly.

Peter said, "That's the best part-you can eat as much as you like of whatever you like and you never get fat and you never get sick. This is heaven."

With that the old man went into a fit of anger, throwing down his hat and stomping on it, and shrieking wildly. Peter and his wife both tried to calm him down, asking him what was wrong The old man glared at his wife and exclaimed, "This is your fault. If it weren't for your blasted bran muffins, I could have been here ten years ago!"

Ericks 24th bday was the other day and we did lots of fun stuff!! First we went out to dinner in our old stomping grounds, West Chester, with Ericks mom and Paul. We love Landmark! Then we picked up Kelly and Trysha and went to Docs, where Erick tried his very first (and prolly last) raw Oyster!! Im so proud!! (they are my fav!)Happy Bday E-man! I can finally say im not with a younger man! (well atleast for another 6 months!!) :)

Ps... One of Ericks presents that I got for him was a "hands free/sensor" soap dispenser.. this was one of the appliances that Erick absolutley NEEDED when we were registering at Bed Bath and Beyond... isnt he rediculous!!

Snow Day!!

Today was the first snow day of winter! So after Erick was done work, it was the perfect day for Erick and I to get ready for Halloween and carve our pumpkin, drink hot chocolate, eat ice cream and bum around the house! Hopefully the weather will dry up so we can put our pumpkin outside for all the Tick-or-Treaters on Friday!

Homecoming '08

Well it was a close Homecomeing competition, but both Matt and Jaclyn recieved 2nd place.... They both looked great, smelled great, and walked great down the football field, however it just wasnt enough to win the crowns... :*(
